Banana Pancakes

 



I prepared this, listening to a number of Anton Petrov's podcasts. In a recent one, ”We Were Wrong About Wolves and Wolf Packs This Whole Time”, he talks about the misunderstanding of wolves' behaviour and the so-called alpha male. Only humans could have thought of something of the sort and the article in sciencenorway.no makes light in this direction.

You need almost the same ingredients as in my previous recipe of pancakes, with minor differences.

Difficulty: easy.

Kitchen tools:
- pot;
- cooking machine;
- nonstick frying pan;
- whisk;
- spatula;
- blender;
- bowl;
- tablespoon;
- plates.

Duration: 30 min (for five pieces).

Serves: five pieces (the plate in the picture, but I could not limit to those).

You need:


- 1 cup of white flour (I used a 300 ml cup);
- 1 cup of whole grain flour;
- 1 apple (sliced);
- 3 bananas (peeled);
- 10 strawberries (sliced);
- 5 tablespoons of honey;
- 3 tablespoons of maple syrup;
- 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil;
- 3 cups of sparkling water;
- 1 can of coconut milk;
- a pinch of salt.

Method:
1. Get in the mood.
2. Thank the ingredients for giving you energy and ask for forgiveness from the bees for taking away their food.
3. In a pot, get the wet ingredients together, except the maple syrup, but add only 3 tablespoons of honey.
4. Drain the coconut milk in the pot. Place the solid part of the coconut in a bowl.
5. Add the dry ingredients in the pot, except the bananas, and get them together.



6. Pour the dough in a blender, add the bananas, and liquefy them.


7. To the bowl with the solid coconut milk, add the 2 remaining tablespoons of honey and gently get them together.


8. Place it in the fridge.
9. Place a nonstick pan over a moderate fire and pour enough dough in the pan for a 13-14 cm diameter pancake.


10. Bake it until there is no more sticky dough on the upside part.
11. Bake the other part as well.


12. Repeat the process until the dough is finished. Place them on a plate.
13. Slice the apple and 4 strawberries.


14. On a plate, place a pancake and on top of it, add some coconut milk and then some slices of strawberries.


15. Place another pancake, add the coconut milk, some slices of apple.


16. Repeat the process with the other 3 pancakes.
17. On top of them, add the remaining coconut milk, 6 strawberries, and pour 3 tablespoons of maple syrup over them.
18. Enjoy!
